Good Salad After a Fast

Armand Salad
Serves 2
Ingredients
2/3 small clove garlic
Dash salt
Pinch pepper
1/3 teaspoon mayonnaise
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
1/3 teaspoon red wine vinegar (optional)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/3 head romaine lettuce, outer leaves removed, washed, dried, torn into bite-size pieces, and chilled
1/3 small head iceberg lettuce, outer leaves removed, washed, dried, torn into bite-size pieces, and chilled
2 2/3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1/6 sweet white onion, sliced thin
2 2/3 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 green bell pepper for garnish
Instructions
To make the dressing: In a salad bowl mash the garlic, salt and pepper to a paste. Add the mayonnaise, continuing to mash until smooth. Mix in the lemon juice and vinegar, if using. Gradually whisk in the olive oil.
Add the romaine and iceberg lettuce, parsley, onion, and the Parmesan. Toss gently. Pile the mixture into shallow salad bowls, sprinkle with a little Parmesan, and serve.
Garnish with bell pepper, if using.

Mater Cleanse Fast ( Anyone interested?)

The Master Cleanse or Lemon Cleanse is between a water fast and a juice fast. Basically it consists of drinking a mixture of freshly squeezed lemons, water and maple syrup for a period of 8 to 40 days. It is easier to do than a water fast because you are still getting nutrients and energy from the lemons and the maple syrup. This fast can be done while still maintaining your normal work, yet is less calories than what you would get from a juice fast. It is normal to lose weight on this fast and it is excellent for cleansing the colon.

Weight Loss In a Fast

Weight loss can initially be as high as three to four pounds per day, but as the fast continues, the average loss will be one pound per day. If you are juice fasting and not losing weight, the juice is supplying all the calories you need. You may have to cut down on the juices or alternate between water fasting and juice fasting if losing weight is part of your goal. The slower your metabolism the slower the weight loss. If you are thin or average weight and you fast for 30 days on juice or 10 days on water, you will become thin. Ribs will show, the face will become gaunt, and friends and family will display concern. But the body will quickly normalize its weight in 5 to 10 days after the fast. If you are thin to start with, fasting may allow you to gain additional weight after the fast. Metabolism is normalized due to the cleansing process. It is very important not to try to gain weight too quickly. The body can rebuild only at a set rate. Overeating will burden the body and undermine the rebuilding process.

Ways To Stay on Your Fast
First of all I know that fasting is difficult and it is pretty hard to stick with it...
The following provide some practical principles that will assist you in fasting with the least number of distractions. They come from a resource of personal experience and these tips will help you have a successful fast...
1.Turn off the TV. Watching TV while on a spiritual fast will become increasingly ridiculous. In every commercial you are being tempted with food.
2.Meditate. Sit and relax and picture yourself as a new you
3. Place your favorite celebrity body or your goal weight on the fridge beacause every time you see this, you will not want to eat the food.
4.Go for walks alone.Clouds, a breeze in the face, flowers, trees, sun, moon and stars.
5.Do not enter into needless temptation.
6.Sleep.If you are going to detoxify you ought to do it on a good night’s sleep. The last thing you need during the difficult part of your fast is to be tired and overworked.

Athlete’s Super Fuel - Monday

Citrus juice made from a hand citrus juicer and a centrifugal force juice extractor can be quite different. The electric juice extractor produces a thick frothy juice, which is more tart. The quality and the nutritional value of the two are similar so it is only a matter of preference. This is an awesome wake-up and is healthier than coffee. It may take a little more time to make, but you will gain time because of the sharp mind that you will have in whatever you do.
Apple-berry Better Bladder - Wednesday
2 apples
1 1/4 cups of cranberries
Cranberry juice is a powerful healing tonic, filled with quinine which changes to hippuric acid in the liver. Hippuric acid is able to assist in the removal of purines, uric acid, urea and toxic build-up in the prostate gland, testicles, kidneys and bladder.
The Niagara Falls Cleanser - Thursday
1 wedge watermelon
1/2 lb. red grapes
Watermelon rind has chlorophyll, vitamin A, protein, potassium, zinc, iodine, nucleic acids and enzymes which aid digestion. Ninety-five percent of the nutritional content in watermelon is in the rind. The seeds may be a little noisy but are harmless to the juicer.
Fabulous Fennel- Friday
1 fennel bulb
1/2 beet with greens
2 apples
If you enjoy the taste of licorice, you will love fennel. This unusual vegetable looks like fat celery with feathers. Fennel helps your eyes to increase in sensitivity, overcoming night blindness. Some have found fennel juice good for relieving migraine headaches.
Pineapple Piper - Saturday
1 pineapple
1 sweet potato
4 oranges
As far as taste this has to be one of my favorites. Even the most skeptical taster will be won over by this sweet treat.
Fantastic Fertility - Sunday
3 hard pears
1 cantaloupe
Juicing cleanses all the organs nutritious juices.
* Do not Add sugar in any of the juices*
* Be sure to blend all these in juicer*
Exercise everyday
Don't forget to DRINK WATER AND ONLY 1 GLASS OF JUICE
You will lose 1-2 pounds a day which will be: 20-24lbs in 3 weeks

Hi wat is a restrictive water fast? an wat is the difference between that an a water fast?
Answer
A water fast is when you drink plenty of water to keep you hydrated
This means you would drink 8-10 glasses of water a day it is meant to curve your cravings and suppress you appetite.
A water fast can help you lose 1-2 pounds a day.
Well a restrictive water diet is when you barely drink water
It would probably be 8oz. or smaller and only one glass of water.
It is almost like being breatharian.
You lose more weight on a restrive water diet because your are drinking less water -- it is also beneficial beacuse the less water you drink
You are not able to gain water weight restrictive fast make sure you lose weight without gaining water weight.

This my Journal and I would like you to know that I am the key to all your fasting questions .... I am totally an expert on fasting!
I know everything about fasting... from how much weight you lose in a week to 100 days ( This is the most asked question)
I know how to break a fast and how to begin one.
I am a great cook and can give you great advice on how to cook a 100-200 calorie meal + Plus the meals are filling so you won't be hungry+
I even create my own recipes that will help you lose weight ( The recipes containno fat and low in carbs)
I also experimented on how to stay on a fast longer than one day without being hungry. (This is for those who have a hard time fasting more than one day)
